Series 8 Author index to newspaper clippings

This series contains small index cards, on which the following details are given for each item indexed:

• author
• reference number (either classification or "Box No. 26"; both refer to series 34)
• title of article etc, and source
• brief abstract of item (sometimes)
• other headings (esp. subject) under which the item is indexed, and year

These cards are probably not a great deal of use to researchers, given that the clippings to which they refer have since been re- arranged (see series 34), They do, however, complement the other series (Seymour 4, 8 and 34) of the records system to which they belonged.
