University of Waikato campus development

This series contains documents, publications, and plans relating to buildings and gardens on the University of Waikato Hamilton campus. Material includes:

LYC-003:

• Vegetable sowing and planting guide relating to the University of Waikato Hamilton campus.
• Brochure titled University of Waikato New Zealand with information on keeping botanical records.
• Plans for the development of the university sports fields.
• Copy of the 2003 publication by Ron Lycette titled A history of the development of the University of Waikato Grounds.

LYC-004: 

• Waikato Times front section from Friday 28 December 1979 with a feature article on the front page about Ron Lycette's departure from the University of Waikato and the legacy of his work at the Hamilton Campus.
• Newspaper clipping from unknown publication titled Vision of £20m university by Barbara Baigent (n.d.). 
• Newspaper clipping from unknown publication titled 20-year development plan: 'Thinking big' on local Varsity by Margaret Gibson (n.d.).

LYC-005: Two large plans of botanical planting records  for Dicotyledons, one for plantings around a lake (no date) and one for plantings around the Hamilton Teachers College (dated 2 August 1976).

LYC-006: Plans for a proposed groundmen's workshop and garage at the Hamilton Campus dated March 1973.

LYC-007: Series of colour and black and white photographs and a series of slides showing campus development projects, campus grounds, and grounds staff between 1966 and 1980. Also includes one CD of campus images taken in 2010. See link below to access digital copies of images.
