Note: Awards were made in August-September 1867 in respect of the Central Waikato (Ngaruawahia) Block and Military Settlements Block. Awards are listed here by name in alphabetical order and transcribed as written on the award, including variant spellings and occasional errors. A running serial number has been put on the top right hand corner of most of the Awards but because of the fragile condition of the paper and past damage, many awards have lost this number. The awards have therefore been sorted into alphabetical order separately for the Central Waikato and Military Settlements Block. All awards were made following the sitting of the Compensation Court at Ngaruawahia in January 1867.

Some awards are known to be missing. The attached list was compiled in 1903 but only identifies awards by number. Because of inadequate storage conditions and damage by fire it is possible that there have been further in the past losses since.
