Tauranga Confiscation

Three boxes of copies of records held in the Hamilton Office of the Department of Survey and Land Information. One box containing 33 folders of copies of papers concerning the administration of Tauranga lands. The records cover the period from December 1864 to 1886 and include papers, reports from Mackay, Clarke and others and lists of 'awards' made before the Tauranga District Land Act was passed, correspondence, the allocation of reserves and the issue of Crown grants.
