One box holding six pocket diaries of Richard (Dick) Seccombe Grant from the late 1940s with background material about his life. Grant returned to Hamilton after World War II.

Diary entries cover his life in New Zealand following his return from the war, his marriage in 1946 to Noeleen Murray, his work with Road Services for two years and then with Caltex. During this time they built a house in Colombo Street, Frankton Junction. He describes his cars, the garden, the farm that they helped with, other tasks that he worked on as well as holidays and events that they attended.
