According to notes from Dr Evelyn Stokes in 2003, the scrapbook was likely created in the early 1920s when Gweneth lived on a farm at Oropi in the Bay of Plenty. It contains pictures cut from magazines of the early 1900s.

Evelyn recalls the scrapbook is "typical of the kind of books I recall making ourselves while young out of brown wrapping paper and any pictures we could find from newspapers or elsewhere. We also pressed ferns in such books and the back page of Gweneth Heape's scrapbook bears the imprint of ferns long gone."Physical Description32cm x 24cm scrapbook with embossed card covered.
