Bruce Liley

Professor Bruce Liley was married to Margaret Liley, and had two children, David and Angus. Professor Liley was a researcher and physicist who founded the University of Waikato's physics department in 1969. He was particularly involved in experimental fusion research with an interest in plasma physics and the advocation for Nuclear Power Generation.

His collection contains 29 boxes of research papers and materials from the Royal Commission regarding nuclear energy and was presented to the University of Waikato Library by his wife Margaret Liley.
