Hector Bethune

Hector Bethune was the husband of the late Muriel Noeleen Bethune (Eleanor), and his children were Eleanor Neil, Miriam Bethune, Rachel Coppens, Stuart Bethune and Kathryn Mercer. His daughter Kathryn Mercer donated his collection to the University of Waikato library in 2009. Bethune was a religious man and held a significant interest in cinematography; thus, his collection holds assorted journal booklets, magazines, and content regarding State Hydro power schemes, extensive religious cinematography, agriculture and farming.
